Stettler District 4-H Show and Sale

Join the Stettler District 4-H clubs members on Monday May 23rd and Tuesday May 24th for there District show and Sale down at the Stettler Agriplex. The females will be shown on Monday with the Steers taking the show over on Tuesday. If your looking to fill the freezer and put a smile on a kids face come down and get in on the Sale starting at 7pm Tuesday evening. If you cannot attend and would still like to purchase a steer give one of the leaders or Crystal at the Stettler Auction Mart a call and we can help you out. All leader numbers are posted in the Catalogue ( link provided below to the Catalogue) We had a great time doing videos this year, if you click on a members photo it will take you to our you tube page to their video. We hope to see you all there on sale day and without further ado here are our members this year.

I named him Kraken because the Seattle Kraken are one of my favourite hockey teams. Kraken is very quiet and likes his tail scratched. I would like to thank Prairie Fitness for buying my steer last year and to all the supporters.

cross, his name is Sir and I purchased him from Fred and Denise Reinbold. I am looking forward to my first show and sale this year.

Bennett Rowledge - 682 Hi! My name is Bennett Rowledge and this is my first year in 4-H. My steer, Clive, was picked out by my dad and grandpa from the auction mart. Clive is a big, white calf who is almost as tall as me! On show day, I hope everything goes well for me

and for him. I’m sure we’ll both be a little nervous! Thanks to my family, leaders and older members of the club for helping me with many firsts. I’ve had a lot of fun so far!




Kate Chapman - 683

Hi there! I am Kate Chapman and this is my second year in 4-H. I am 11 years old and I have a thick Charolais calf named Chub. He is very calm steer who likes to be brushed and loves to eat. Chub is a homegrown steer from my grandpa’s herd at the Rowledge farm. I would like to thank my family for helping get him ready

to show. I am excited to participate in the show and learn about all the different classes. Hope to see you there!




Lily Bullick - 684

Hi, my name is Lily Bullick. This is my first year as a Junior in 4-H. My steer is a Black Angus cross named Big Boy. He is

home grown from Bullick Farms. This year I also have a heifer. Her name is Willow. She is a black brockle faced Simmental

cross that acts like a puppy. I have learned a lot about cows and I can’t wait to learn more about cows. Thank you Erskine 4-H

Beef Club for letting me join this year. :)





Luke Henderson - 685

My name is Luke Henderson. This is my second year in 4-H. Thank you to DLMS, T Bar C Cattle Co., and Steve Dorran for buying my steer in 2021. This year my market steer’s name is Regan and I have a carcass steer named Gorbachev. Gorbachev got his name because of the huge birthmark on his neck, head and one leg (he is purebred black Angus). Regan is a silver steer and the result of Rowledge’s (our neighbours) Charolais bull jumping into my grandpa’s pasture to breed one of his black Angus cows. I also have a purebred two year old cow-calf pair and purebred yearling heifer in 4-H - all Angus, of course.




Denver Shaw - 686

Hello, my name is Denver Shaw. I am 11 years old and this is my third year in the Erskine Beef Club. My market steer’sname

is Licorice. He’s a Gelbvieh, I bought him from Jace Cattle Co. I am very excited for this year’s show and sale with Licorice.

Aryann Haustein - 687

Hi, I’m Aryann Haustein, this is my sixth year in 4-H and I am our club’s Treasurer. This year I have a Gelbvieh cross steer that I picked from our herd that I named Jester. I also have a 3 year old Simmental cross cow/calf project, a 2 yr old Angus cross cow/ calf project and a Gelbvieh cross yearling heifer. I am excited to get to show all of them! I would like to thank my last year’s buyer, Aspen Ford, as well as all other supporters of 4-H. Thank you for letting us do what we love!




Branson Chapman - 688

My name is Branson Chapman and this is my fourth year in 4-H. My steer came from my Grandpa Murray’s herd and he is named Brisby. Brisby is a large tan calf who is going to taste delicious. At show day, I hope he does well in conformation classes and rate of gain. I would like to thank last year’s buyer, the Stettler Auction Mart, for their continuous support of 4-H and for purchasing my

steer.



Dryton Haustein - 689

Hello, my name is Dryton Haustein. This is my first year being an Intermediate 4-H member, and my fourth year in 4-H. I have a market steer named Jumanji who is a Gelbvieh Angus cross, home grown from our farm. I also have a yearling heifer project, her name is Jaylee, she is a Simmental Angus cross. I picked her from our replacement heifers. I have a two year old Simmental Angus cross cow whose name is Hera. She was my last year’s heifer project. I’m excited for her to calve this spring. I would like to thank my last year’s buyer, Kirby Massey with Echo Ridge Farms, and wish everybody a happy and healthy 2022.

Hi, my name is Mackenna Hogg and this is my first year in 4-H. My steer is a Charolais cross named Kippy and I purchased him from Erick and Sheryl Osterud. My steer has been amazing to work with and I am excited to see how this year goes and looking forward to future years ahead!

Rayell Haustein - 691

Hey, I’m Rayell Haustein. I am 18 years old, on my ninth (and likely final) year of 4-H, and am the President of the Erskine Club. This year I have three female projects, a carcass steer, and Checkmate,

my market steer. My steer, Checkmate, is a Gelbvieh Angus cross from my family’s herd, therefore he is home grown and hormone free! My steer has been super mellow and extremely friendly, even back in the summer when I picked him. He already loved being brushed way before 4-H started, making him the perfect 4-H steer candidate! His easy-going demeanor has made working with him a breeze and an overall very enjoyable process. A huge THANK YOU to Kelly Hicks (Stettler Dodge), for purchasing my steer last year. And thank you to everyone who supports 4-H!




Kayla Robertson - 692

Hey! My name is Kayla Robertson and this is my eighth year in 4-H. My steer, Cornflake, is a Charolais cross from our herd that I chose for his clean frame and love for barley! My carcass project, Cheerio, loves his grain just as much, but I picked him because although he is less showy, he has a large capacity to hold weight. I enjoy being able to show cattle through the 4-H program, and am very thankful for my buyer from last year, Heartland Marine and Motorsports.




Chance Morbeck - 693

I am Chance Morbeck and this is my ninth year in 4-H. My steer is a roan Charolais cross and I chose him because of how deep he is throughout. His name is Hammer, and he dominates the feed bunk. A huge thank you to all buyers for continuing to support 4-H, and to my last year’s buyer, Pheasantback Golf Club.




Connor Robertson - 695

Hi, my name is Connor Robertson, and I’ve been in 4-H for eight years. My steer’s name is Chex, and he is a Red Angus. He is out of my small herd. Thank you TAK Oilfield for purchasing last year’s steer! I like 4-H for all of the knowledge and experience with cattle I’ve picked up on the way.

Alerie Sorensen - 659 I’m Alerie Sorensen and this is my third year as a Junior in the Byemoor 4-H Beef Club. This year, I have three Simmental

influence projects and they all have the same sire and I picked them out of my mom and dad’s herd. I have a heifer named Charlotte, a carcass named Templeton, and a market steer named

Wilbur. My favorite part of 4-H is Achievement Day. I would like to thank Hanna Motor Products for buying my market steer last year, as well as Darren Zimmer for purchasing my carcass steer. Thank you to all the 4-H supporters and volunteers!

My name is Felix Johnson. This is my first year as a Junior. My

Simmental steer’s name is Jon. I bottle fed him last year as my

calendar calf for my cleaver project. I have already learned so

much and can’t wait to learn more.

Hi! My name is Jayda Stirling and I am 10 years old. This is my second year as a Junior member in the Byemoor Beef Club. This year I have two projects. I am trying a yearling heifer and her name is Lily and she is an Angus Hereford cross. My market steer’s name is Roscoe and he is a Shorthorn Angus cross. Rosco loves to be scratched behind the ears. This year I share the Historian position with Alerie Sorensen and Mackenzey Marshall. I am very excited for our show and sale this year. Cole Charbonneau - 662

Hi! My name is Cole Charbonneau and this is my first year as a Junior in the Byemoor 4-H Beef Club. My Charolais Simmental cross steer is Oscar and I picked him from our own herd. He was my cleaver calf last year. He is naturally quiet and a good lookin’ dude! I joined 4-H to make money and to learn more about cattle. If you are looking to fill your freezer, Oscar is the one to do it!



Rylee Charbonneau - 663

Hi, I’m Rylee Charbonneau. I’m 12 years old and this is my third year as a Junior in the Byemoor 4-H Beef Club. I like 4-H because I can show cows and learn. My steer’s name is Gary and he is a very splashy Simmental who loves scratches. Gary is super sweet and I love him so much. He is like a dog, I can even ride him! Thank you to Stettler Veterinary Clinic for buying my steer, Stitch, last year.

Addison Charbonneau - 664

My name is Addison Charbonneau. I’m an intermediate in the Byemoor 4-H Beef Club and this is my sixth year in 4-H. This

year my steer is a Charolais cross named Jose. Jose is a showy but thick steer with quite the personality. I also have a yearling heifer, Julia, and a two-year old pair,Becca and Kahlua. My favourite part of 4-H is showing at the end of the year and building life skills like public speaking and record keeping. I would like to send a big THANK YOU to Burmac Mechanical for buying my

Hi, my name is Taytum and I am 13 years old. This is my fourth year in 4-H. This year I have a homegrown Simmental Angus market steer named Thor. I enjoy spending time with my fellow 4-H members and learning important lessons through the examples of my peers. Mackenzey Marshall - 666

Hello, I am 12 years old and in Grade 6. This is my fourth year in 4-H. I have a market steer named Max. Max is a Simmental Angus cross. My favourite part of 4-H is learning to do new things, like clipping, that will help me improve in future 4-H years. President for our Club and have enjoyed the tasks that come with the position. This year I have two projects. I have a yearling

heifer. Her name is Cosmo and she is a Hereford Angus cross. My market steer is a Simmental Angus cross and his name is

(After one of the best old cowboys, EVER!) They are both Charolais/Red Angus cross and I purchased them from my dad. Thank you to L&S Clarke Ventures for purchasing my steer, Rebel, last year!

Hi, my name is Cheyanne Jacobson. I am 13 years old and this is my fifth year in the Big Knife Beef Club. My steers name is

Mayden and he’s a Simmental/Maine cross. I purchased him from Kathryn Dolliver (JT Livestock). My favourite thing about 4-H is working with my animals. I like taking my steer to other shows. I also like show day, I love when I walk in the arena and the blowers are going and the smell of all the sprays. Hi, my name is Jenna Neilson. I am 15 years old and this is my sixth year in 4-H. I love cows and showing them, and learning everything I do from it. This year my market steer, Finnegan is purchased from Lance and Karyn Neilson and he is an Angus cross. I also have a yearling Angus heifer named Ginny, and I

showed her in the Heartland Cattemen Classic in January. Along with that I have an Angus cross cow calf pair named Nova

Keagan Jacobson - 803

Hi my name is Keagan Jacobson. I am 16 years old and this is my seventh year in Big Knife 4-H Beef Club. This year I bought my steer from Clark Club Calves and named him Maverik. He is a Maine-Angus. I have taken him to a couple Junior shows throughout the winter and spring. He is a super quiet steer and likes being scratched. I also have a yearling heifer named Becky that is a maintainer and I have also shown throughout the fall and winter. I also will have a cow calf pair that I will show this summer and in the 4-H Heifer Show Day. My favourite part of 4-H is getting to be

around cattle and go to Junior shows as well as clipping and fitting cattle. I would like to thank Wally’s Backhoe Services for purchasing my 4-H steer last year and thank you to everybody for supporting 4-H!





Faith Shuckburgh - 804

My name is Faith Shuckburgh, I am a senior in the Big Knife Club. This is my tenth year of 4-H and my first in the Big Knife Club. My steer is a Maine Angus cross named Train Station. He is implant and steroid free - 100% natural. Thank you to my market steer buyer of last year, Stettler Auction Mart and my carcass steer buyer, Larry Donald of Larry’s Hot Oil. I am currently enrolled in education at the University of Lethbridge, and your investment in my steer is an investment in my future. Thank you to all past and future buyers!
