market report for the week ending sEPTEMBER 11TH, 2026

Butcher cow and bulls traded within 5-10 cents per pound of last weeks market. There were too few calves to establish a firm market trend.  With recent movement in cattle futures, prices are expected to stabilize over the next week or two.

Mature sheep & goats sold 10 cents per pound stronger this week. Kids remained steady with last week, while young lambs sold 10 - 20 cents per pound higher. All classes sold with good buyer demand. Lambs are kept under cover and provided water from the time they are unloaded at Stettler Auction Market Limited. Weekly sheep, lamb and goat pick-up is available throughout Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. Call 1-403-742-2368 anytime.
