market report for the week ending august 28, 2026

Butcher cow and bulls experienced some pressure this week, selling 10-20 cents per pound lower. Feeder cattle were 20 - 30 cents per pound lower in light run.

Good, clean lambs sold at Market Value, while muddy or dirty lambs were under pressure. Lambs are kept under cover and provided water from the time they are unloaded at Stettler Auction Market Limited. Weekly sheep, lamb and goat pick-up is available throughout Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. Call 1-403-742-2368 anytime.
