A TIME TO REMEMBER, A WEEK TO HONOUR

As November 11 draws near, Stettler Auction Market Limited is taking time this week to honour the courage, dedication and sacrifices of our veterans, those who continue to serve, and the families who stand beside them.

This tribute holds a special connection to our market’s history. Bombardier Charlie McKay, a Second World War veteran, co-founded Stettler Auction Mart with Thomas “Ace” Pratt in 1953.

We also remember Dave Mailer Sr., a Second World War veteran, and August J. Ohman, a First World War veteran and grandfather of Dave Mailer Jr.

Behind these photographs are lives of service, enduring friendships and stories that deserve to be remembered.

We honour their commitment, the hardships they faced and the sacrifices that helped protect the peace and freedom we cherish.

Throughout the days leading up to November 11, we invite our community to pause, reflect and remember.
